LaddersFree was established in 2002 and operated as a local window cleaning business in Exeter, Devon. In 2005 we launched ‘The National Register of Ladderless Window Cleaners’, a network of independent window cleaning companies that operate using water-fed pole technology.
Thirteen years later, LaddersFree are now recognised as one of the leading commercial window cleaning companies in the UK, delivering a quality service at the right price to a wide range of businesses including shops, offices, hotels and schools.
At the end of 2014 we recognised that opportunities existed in Residential Window Cleaning by replicating our success in commercial window cleaning. We wanted to work with other like-minded window cleaners to help develop and grow their own residential window cleaning business.
We established The PWC Code of Practice and The National Network of Residential Window Cleaners and in March 2015 we launched our Residential Window Cleaning License.

Finding a residential window cleaner is relatively easy but choosing one who provides a reliable, cost effective service and in compliance with health and safety legislation is much harder, or it has been until now.
The Professional Window Cleaners Code of Practice was launched to create a symbol of quality and ensure a minimum standard is adhered to by Residential Window Cleaners at a national level.
The PWC Approval Certificate will be awarded to window cleaners in recognition of reaching the necessary criteria that we have identified in terms of costs, customer care and health and safety.
Exclusive PWC License
Our dedication to our licensees is demonstrated by our commitment to provide only one window cleaner for territory (each postcode district in the UK). The exclusive right ensures our licensees have the maximum potential to grow their business by offering a service that no other window cleaner in their territory can offer.
You will be able to operate as a Licensee for just £10 per month (plus vat) per territory. Each territory is a Postcode District, for example; ‘NW1’, ‘PL4’, ‘RH7’ and exclusive to just one window cleaner.
